It is time to strengthen our resolve to continue with our current commitments. The New Moon in the earth sign Taurus brings about a new lunar cycle for this month. It’s a good moon for planting, gardening, and starting a new financial project. A feeling may prevail that work is good when it is done in a steady fashion. Cinco de Mayo celebrations and festivities are likely to be happy and entertaining this weekend as the Moon enters witty Gemini. Go out and have fun.

2^nd week, May 6-12, This month features celebrations, Mercury goes into the practical earth sign Taurus and will join with erratic Uranus expect changes in directions or practicalities may need a review as to their functions working properly like home repairs, or new information about banking, or computer software programs not running well. Venus squares Saturn perhaps setting off actions to pursue one’s passions, yet Saturn brings in a tone of caution to any impulses or instant Karma. However, Venus in Aries trines Jupiter in Sagittarius bringing in great enthusiasm for plans to expand the things you are passionate about.  Then Venus squares Pluto bringing in an irrational drive to mate, or violence may be on the rise, as this aspect can generate compulsive irrational energies on May 9^th.  The First Quarter Moon occurs May 11^th in the fire sign Leo and this will bring in new energy for fun, enthusiasm to any Mother’s Day celebrations this weekend.

3^rd week, May 13-19, Venus shifts into its own sign Taurus which will help to strengthen by creating supportive relations and Mars her consort shifts into the water sign Cancer where it does not function as well because Mars being fire, gets toned down in a water sign like Cancer.  This makes for an overly emotional drive to everything making us less objective in our pursuits, thus actions based on emotional insecurities.  The Blue Moon/ Full Moon energies and lights up the sky this weekend, in the intense water sign Scorpio. We may try to find a way to balance our energies by doing earth grounding things or simply sit and meditate on May 18^th. However, sitting still may not be the best way to harness this energy as Venus in Taurus joins Uranus in Taurus these two can bring in erratic, unusual energies to our sense of values. Expect the unexpected as this aspect brings changes to our relationships and values.  Social experimentation with money and relations are on the rise, like new comforts, securities, and new group work.

4^th week, May 20- 26, May 21, a shift in the energy as Mercury and the Sun both enter into the witty air sign Gemini, this makes for new ideas to pursue are in the air, get out and share with others your expertize and or explore new information, have a good time and travel the Last Quarter Moon in the mystical water sign Pisces puts us in the mood for daydreaming, spaciness, seeking more inspiration from the spiritual plane. A good day to rest, relax and evaluate the month’s activities. Last quarter moon phase gives us the week before the new moon to review and consider what can stay or go in our lives.

5^th week, May 27-31, this week starts off with the Memorial Day celebration Moon in Pisces can be a time to rest, relax and dream. This last week of the month is a good time to organize, clean up your projects and get ready for the New Moon cycle in June.
