In the Stars for February
The transiting Sun is in the air sign Aquarius and it conjoined with Pluto in the last week of January. It is making a square pattern later in the month to Uranus in Taurus which challenges the fixed Sun signs Leo, Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius. Any planet or house that Pluto touches will feel the urge to make dramatic changes, reform in behaviour, earth changes or material things like home renovation projects. For the fixed sign any type of major upheavals that are happening are due to these aspects. This aspect can usher in progress against tyranny but it can manifest a cult-like authoritarianism which we are witnessing throughout the globe. Technology and governments will continue to evolve during Pluto’s 16 1/2-year transit.
Sun in Aquarius people are unique individuals they strive to be different and to follow the beat of their drum. Co-ruled by Saturn and Uranus they seek to be disciplined and rebellious at the same time. This sign represents progressive action, altruistic drive and community effort, inventive genius and unpredictability. 1st week, of Feb. 1-10, a social week with the Moon in Libra starts the month off with positive vibes. Moon in Scorpio squares Pluto in Aquarius on Thursday this aspect can create some tension or reveal what is hidden. The Last Quarter Moon occurs Friday in the intense water sign Scorpio, this is a good weekend to clean, to re-organize and recharge yourself. Groundhog celebrations occur under this superstitious Moon’s last lunar phase. Mercury enters Aquarius on Sunday this will boost our communication systems as Mercury is exalted in Aquarius. Expect more ideas to flow easily for this month.

2^nd week, Feb. 5^th-11, Monday can be powerful for ideas and communication as Mercury and Pluto join forces in Aquarius. The Moon in Sagittarius promotes goal-seeking for the next two days. Then on Wednesday, it moves into cautious Capricorn. The Moon trines Uranus and Venus in Capricorn trines Uranus and Mars both in Capricorn can stir things up with relationships and sports competitions favour Mars in Capricorn. Mars sextiles Neptune in Pisces can be inspiring for creative work. Sun squares Uranus on Thursday; this can stir up rebellious tendencies.  The energy increases as the New Moon arrives Friday in the air sign Aquarius. Mercury in Aquarius squares Jupiter in Taurus this can set off a chain reaction for radical behaviours and innovative ideas -some people may be more talkative than usual.

3^rd week, Feb.12-18^th, the week starts off with the Moon in the imaginative water sign Pisces; this Moon is good for empathy and compassion towards others. Celebrations mid-week are Mardi Gras, Valentine’s and Ash Wednesday.  Perhaps spring is in the air people may feel vivacious and courageous during the mid–week due to the Moon being in the fire sign Aries. Venus enters Aquarius on Friday and the 2^nd Quarter Moon occurs in the earth sign Taurus. Mercury Squares Uranus charging up communication and Venus conjoins with transformative Pluto on Saturday. Mars and Venus join forces in Aquarius and this can promote altruism or reform in relationships. Mercury shifts into Pisces on Thursday and can enliven the imagination a good aspect for creative work. The Full Moon occurs Saturday in the analytical earth sign Virgo; this is good for analysis and seeing the bigger picture as Pisces is the opposite of Virgo

5^th week, Feb.26-29^th, the week starts with the Moon in Virgo. Focus on the details get things done and finish your projects later this week. The Moon shifts into harmonizing air sign Libra on Tuesday this helps with communication and relationship choices.  We end the month with the leap year on the 29^th in the water sign Scorpio. An intense water sign can help with research and industriousness.
