Sun in Sagittarius/ Capricorn Mercury goes direct, Mars and Jupiter Retrograde

The holiday season arrives with the Sun in Sagittarius. This is an enthusiastic fire sign, during this time this transit picks up the energy for fun and adventure.
Planets that are retrograde this month are: Mercury ruler of communications, Mars energy and action, Jupiter growth and expansion, Uranus change and disruption, and Neptune lord of illusion, spirituality and deception. These planets moving in retrograde motion can emphasize and strengthen the energy they represent. It gives us time until early Feb. 2025 to deepen our understanding and keep working on the projects we have started in the last 6 months.
The Mercury retrograde phase will continue until Dec. 15^th in the fire sign Sagittarius, this helps us to explore new ideas and horizons. Mercury can cause us to review and issue a time, about four weeks, to reflect on our goals and aspirations. When Mercury is retrograde, take your time to do things, pace yourself as schedules can change, computers can break down; any thing that is about to break during this time will.
Venus planet of love and relations in Capricorn and will shift into Aquarius Dec. 8th and joins up with transformative Pluto in Aquarius. Perhaps this aspect can bring a beneficial openness to relationships of all types which can get us away from the security traps of the old patriarchal traditions and welcome humanitarian reforms for groups of people and for negotiations this could alter life patterns to be inclusive not divisive. Perhaps the spirit of peace will prevail this month.

Mars planet of action in Leo, also moves retrograde motion until Feb. 24, 2025. This transit can increase caution, slow things down, or internalize our motivations. In the water sign Cancer, it can increase our sentimentality and irrationality so that  emotions take over rationality, so  pay attention to your feelings for the next couple of months and try not to project your security fears onto others.

Jupiter planet of growth and expansion is also retrograde through the air sign Gemini where it seeks to expand ideas, communication systems like the internet which may undergo changes within the next few months until February when it moves in direct motion on the 4^th of Feb. 2025. It squares Saturn who is in direct motion now in the mystical water sign Pisces.

Saturn will continue to bear its lessons to the signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, those folks born later in Feb. and early March who will receive the strongest aspect to their sun signs. This can be a productive time if you buckle in and follow a discipline to get work done. However some decisions are difficult to make and growth and expansion of plans are curtailed during this transit.

Uranus continues through its trek through security driven Taurus. Perhaps new information around the economy surfaces, some of which may be disruptive to investing. Take time to consider before you invest in new financial forms like Bitcoin. The banking institutions may be planning a change for 2025 when Uranus goes direct on January 30th, 2025.

Neptune turns direct on Dec. 7^th,this energy will be felt in a subtle way at best to be inspiring and gentle. Some may feel like the fog is lifting and can discern reality with greater clarity.

Lunar Cycles for December
1 week, 1-8th,  The New moon in the fire sign Sagittarius on Sunday Dec. 1rst. A good weekend to start new projects that you can work on while Mercury is retrograde, perhaps reviews with a new idealism. Fun and adventure is in the air this weekend as we ready ourselves for the holidays. A busy first week full of astrological aspects. The 2^nd Quarter Moon occurs on Dec. 8^th in the mystical water sign Pisces, a day of decisions for some Gemini, Virgo Sagittarius and Pisces natives. This week Mars goes retrograde on Friday the 6^th in the fire sign Leo, this is a time to review your creative projects or plans. Neptune goes direct in Pisces affecting Pisces persons it could create a dreamy day on Saturday Dec. 7^th. Venus conjoins with Pluto in Aquarius and we can look at new humanitarian reforms with our relations and partners. Acceptance can be a virtue.

The 2nd week 9^th-15, a week full of energy with the Moon in Aries mid-week and Gemini for the weekend increasing communication chatter and internet socializing. Mercury turns direct motion on Sunday Dec. 15^th, in Sagittarius. This aspect can help the energy increase but give Mercury at least a week to make any serious decisions, continue to pace yourself, and fix any messes you create during the retrograde.

3^rd week, 16-22, this week starts with the emotional Moon in the water sign Cancer, do listen to your feelings and protect your energy from negative vibes if you have planets in Cancer Sun, Moon or your rising  sign. On Saturday Dec. 21 the transiting Sun moves into Capricorn and we have the Winter Solstice. Go outdoors amongst the green trees and celebrate the change in season, some may want to prepare their gardens for the winter cold that’s coming to the northern hemisphere. Look up at stars and see Orion in the night sky. The Moon in Libra is good for socializing and maintaining harmony and peace with loved ones this weekend.

4^th week 23-31, the Moon will be in Libra on Christmas Eve and Day helping to keep the peace and harmony amongst us. The Moon moves into Scorpio on Wednesday eve for Hanukkah and for Thursday on Kwanza this can be a moody two days as people feel the depth of the feelings. The new Moon occurs on Dec. 30^th in the earth sign Capricorn New Year’s energy can also be high energy with the influence of the New Moon. We may find December to be a mixed bag, slow at first and complicated until around the Solstice the energy improves a bit.
Take time to think about the year that has passed as the challenges will continue to urge us to grow in new ways in 2025.
